Hand Yoga

Yoga exercises for the hands. The hands can be used to heal ailments or can be used for improving your general health if performed regularly.

They are very good for calming nerves, releasing tension, preventing exhaustion to name a few. The concept is quite simple really and is done by creating a circuit out of the highly sensitive nerve endings in your fingers. The nerve endings in your fingertips correspond to the most areas of the brain. The only other area is your eyes so it makes sense that if you create various circuits with your fingers, it is possible to create subtitle changes in your body.

The great thing about hand yoga is that you can perform them anywhere such as while waiting at the lights, when you are sitting at work, anywhere where you a have a few moments - they can be performed. Although saying that like all yoga it is best performed while concentrating on the ailment or meditating, relaxing and closing your eyes.

What better way is their to rejuvenate your self that only takes a few minutes and is so effective.
I know for myself that my blood pressure has been rising lately which is of concern to me and I will be completing the exercise myself.

As well as blood pressure there are the following benefits.
- Strengthens the heart muscles
- Can be used for emergency first aid for severe heart attack if administered immediately.
- Increased self confidence
- Prevents vomiting
- Menstruation related problems
- Can purify the entire body
- It is very easy to do as I have found

The Exercise: Fold the forefinger to touch the mound of the thumb. The little finger should be held erect. Then place tips of middle finger and ring finger together on tip of thumb all touching each other. (BOTH HANDS)

Now remember to do it with both hands stay relaxed. Keep your breathing nice and regular. If you suffer from a ailment - concentrate on that area and build up to 45 minutes a day.

If done consistently and made part of your daily routine you will obtain a state of general well being.
